A partnership aimed at directly impacting the most beautiful bird on earth, and the habitat in which it resides.
The Mission of the Blue Q was created in an effort to help preserve the environment around the world. As we travel and visit more natural wonders, and as we witness the environmental destruction that is taking place in so many parts of the planet, we feel the need to take immediate action. The birds are always watching, and with the high expectations of our avian friends, we strive to show that our desire to help is more than just an exchange of ideas.
Since the protagonist of The Blue Q: The World As I See It is this unique and majestic bird, we did not hesitate to immediately accepted a partnership with an organization whose mission is to protect, preserve and grow the habitat of the resplendent quetzal in the forests of Chiapas, Mexico. Together, El Quetzal Azul and FONCET A.C. come together to ensure that the future of the quetzal is preserved, not only for the resplendent bird, but for all the diverse species of flora and fauna that inhabit the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve.
Ambassadors of the Quetzal and the Fog
FONCET A.C. —
Primary Objective: To promote the conservation of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve and ensure the permanence of this emblematic bird.
This is supported by the strengthening of monitoring and surveillance actions of the habitat of the resplendent quetzal, as well as to enact environmental education campaigns that allow us to recognize the importance of forests and jungles in our daily lives.
The Blue Q —
Primary Objective: The Mission of The Blue Q was established to educate, inspire, and to enable us to appreciate our planetary ecosystem. Our desire was to create a story with real-life characters that actually exist today, and who always remind us to protect the most precious aspects of the Earth. Being Ambassadors of the Quetzal and the Fog directly supports our objective, and for this reason we wish to support Foncet A.C. in the most way in which it is most impactful for both of our missions.
OUR GOAL
In our celebration of Earth Day 2022, a total of 75 copies of El Quetzal Azul: El Mundo Desde El Cielo (the Spanish edition of The Blue Q) were donated to Foncet A.C., to be distributed to the organization's donors who wish to read this incredible story while helping the habitat of the resplendent quetzal. The funds raised from each donation will have an immediate and long-term impact on the conservation of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, to ensure that this symbolic bird will always have a safe and secure home.
Additionally, as part of this collaborative effort, for the entire month of May 2022, 100% of the profits from all sales of The Blue Q as well as El Quetzal Azul (apart from the donated copies) will be donated to Foncet A.C. After this period, readers will be able to purchase copies of the book(s) through this website, and then may choose to donate a portion of their purchase to Foncet A.C.
