My Reel
The work that you see on this page is a list of a few of the productions I have created. I am proud of these projects, and I hope to always remember each one of them as cherished memories and good times. Please check out my Production Portfolio to see more details of my larger projects.
the videographer - a web series
Zach is 30 years old. He went to film school. He wants to make movies. He makes wedding videos. His dream is big. He is not.
The life of a wedding videographer is not always what it seems. The hours are long, the competition is tough, and the job is thankless, but every so often a dreamer comes along who wants to capture more than just a young couple’s happiest day. The challenge for Zach Rodriguez, however, is that his own life is far from the reality of the moments his camera records.
This 15-episode series was funded through the production actual wedding videos, and in partnership with Windy City Mix.
paper cut - a short movie
The subtitle for this production was “My Worstest Day Ever!”
The idea for this short production came from an unlikely source - a joke told by an Avelar family friend. The idea was slightly changed from the original source material, but the overall story remained the same.
The star of this project is my niece Ashley, who agreed to be in the production so long as lunch was provided.
Stockwood: live at durty nellie’s - a feature concert
This is the production that made me solidify the notion that The Beatles were the greatest band ever. End of story.
Stockwood was the youngest ever Beatles tribute band, comprised of 4 teenagers who had played Beatles music together since their elementary years. In an effort to capture the magic of the music, and to allow the band to expand their audience. Sadly, the band ended their epic run, but at least we will always have the memories and the music.
An extensive amount of studying was done in order to learn about each of the band members, the venue, the music, and most importantly, about The Beatles.
