The Mission of The Blue Q
Eliminate Illiteracy - Around the World
One day, as I randomly scrolled through Reddit, I saw an image which immediately captured my attention. The image showed a map of literacy rates around the world, per country, and it shocked me to learn that there are parts of the world where illiteracy remains a significant problem. In the map below, the darker colors represent higher literacy rates in that country. As you can see, Guatemala is on the lighter color spectrum in the Americas.
The primary mission of The Blue Q is to become a source of motivation and inspiration for readers of all ages – of all nations – to discover the bird within themselves and release their creativity in whichever colors they best see fit. The desired outcome is to create a worldwide phenomenon where EVERY country on this map is in the dark blue category, where reading, writing, education and creativity prevail above oppression of any kind.
Environmental Awareness and Activism
We are at a critical time in history, where our actions (or lack thereof) will create dramatic environmental consequences for life on our beautiful planet.
Birds have a unique visual perspective when it comes the destruction of the balanced ecosystem. Because of their unique ability to see the world from all perspectives, birds are at the forefront of environmental instability, and are oftentimes the victims of an effect they did not cause.

It is for this reason that I am so passionate about telling a story where a bird is the protagonist, in hopes that it will inspire others to help preserve our planet and make it a safer and cleaner place for future generations.
