The Blue Q is available and in circulation at the Shelby County Public Library in Shelbyville, KT!
In our continued travels and adventures, The Blue Q discovered a new home where history and culture are both prominent and celebrated by all.
Situated between the two largest cities of the state of Kentucky, Shelbyville represents southern hospitality at its finest. It is the American Saddlebred capital of the world, where tourists can visit local farms and see “an entire world's worth of horse breeds” (including some of the horses that will compete at the Kentucky Derby). As a whole, Shelby County boasts over 400 acres of outdoor parks and recreational areas, including by foot, by bike, by skates, or on horseback! Along Main Street in downtown Shelbyville is Stargazer Plaza, where local artists and cultural enthusiasts alike can gather and enjoy being together outdoors.
We are honored to be included among the many profound literary works of the Shelby County Library, and we hope that we can also leave our imprint in the minds of the readers of this wonderful community.

- How does the book’s availability at the Shelby County Public Library help the Mission of The Blue Q?
The very existence and foundation of the Shelby County Public Library was developed on the idea that a better community was achievable when people of diverse backgrounds come together to learn from one another. The library is a place that is open to all, where no one person is every too old nor too young to learn and try something new, and where we can follow the legacy of the founders of the library to create a place where a difference could be made. As yet another library to be what it is today because of the early investment made by Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, the legacy of the Shelbyville County Public Library is that of service to the community and to the general public, where lifelong learning is promoted and where are all welcomed to participate.
We are honored to be included among the catalog of over 70,000 books, where our story has the chance to connect with passionate readers and other storytellers who want to bridge the gap between past and future, between languages and cultures, between environment and progress, and between community members and the resources they need to enrich their lives.
