Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library
Shelbyville, Tennessee
Early in 2023 we discovered that there existed a small yet growing Guatemalan population in the town of Shelbyville, Tennessee. We we initially thought that this would be reason enough for The Blue Q to be welcomed at this library, we quickly discovered that there is a much larger (and more diverse) community.
Needless to say, we are excited to know that the book is now available at the Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library, as it was the first public library outside of Illinois to welcome us. To our new friends in Shelbyville and the surrounding area: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

The availability of The Blue Q at this library enabled us to think that more was possible beyond our self-imposed limitations. Early in the process of writing the story we did hope and wish that, perhaps one day, more libraries would be interested in adding the novel to their collection.
